56th Annual LIONS - CNE Peewee Baseball Tournament

CNE Ball Park (west of Dufferin Gate)

2012 marks the 56th year of the annual Lions-CNE Peewee Baseball Tournament, the oldest and most prestigious event of its kind for 12 – 13 year olds.  Established in 1956, this highly successful tournament has guided more than 17,000 young people through the ecstasy and the agony of the baseball tournament experience.

2012 Bulova CNE Women's Fastball Tournament

A long-standing tradition dating back to the mid 20's has its modern version in this annual event.  Eight teams compete over five days in 15 games in the double-knockout event for the prized Bulova Watch and the gold medal. 

Congratulations to the VAUGHAN VIKINGS, winner of the 2011 Bulova-CNE Women’s Fastball Tournament and the coveted Bulova watches. Silver medalists were the KITCHENER KLASSICS.

This tournament is open to Bantam and Midget Tier II age teams.

Softball Old Timers' Honouring Ceremonies and Reunions

Wednesday, August 22nd
Start Time: 6:30 pm
CNE Ball Park (West of Dufferin Gate)

The venerable CNE Ball Park will be the site for some tears, cheers and hugs as players of the past gather for reunions where you will likely hear such lines as "is that you - I can't believe my eyes" and "do you remember...".  Wednesday, August 22nd is the evening for CNE greats of the past as they gather to honour teammates and competitors of old for the 10th straight year. Over that span the CNE Softball/Fastball organizers have recognized the accomplishments of 63 individuals - 42 women and 21 men.

Ontario-International Peewee All-Star Tournament

Saturday, August 18th & Sunday, August 19th
CNE Ball Park (West of Dufferin Gate)

This 13th annual weekend affair brings together the very best of the Peewee participants as All-Star teams from Toronto, Hamilton, Eastern Ontario and Buffalo, New York provide a most exciting brand of baseball in a double-knockout event. No one goes away empty-handed as gold, silver and bronze medals are up for grabs as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club trophy and the Tom and Pat Lawson MVP Award. Each game a Jim Warden Player of the Game is selected by our game announcer.

Not to be outdone by any old timer the players of the future, 7 to 9 year olds, strut their stuff hoping one day to play in the "bigs".
