The Competition

Do you have a green thumb? The CNE Garden Show is home to the largest flower and vegetable growing competition in Canada!

Rock On Rock
Heritage Court, Direct Energy Centre

Visual Artist Daryl Maddeaux returns to the CNE and the Garden Show stacking “Rock on Rock” without the use of glue, nails, gum, Velcro, screws or magnets.  Daryl’s work is “designed to tickle your imagination and to visually remind you that even when things appear impossible,  that impossible is just a word."

The Harmonicats
Courtyard Stage; Heritage Court, Direct Energy Centre

The Harmonicats, best known for their hit “Peg O’ My Heart” which in 1947 sold over 20 million copies, return to the CNE this year. There have been changes to the group over the years, but today’s Harmonicats: Mo Vint, Michael Burton and Frank Warner continue to play all the old favourites. They have also added some new stylings and added a few comedy routines that can only be done with a Harmonica. There will even be a few surprises along the way. Each member is in his own right an accomplished musician. Their style of performance will bring back memories for the young at heart and introduce the young to a whole new sound.
