Chef Matt Basile, known for transforming Toronto’s food scene with Food Truck Brands, Fidel Gastro’s, and the gastropub Lisa Marie, as well as co-founding Alchemy Grills, brought his culinary expertise to the 2024 CNE. He led a series of live cooking demos, demonstrating his BBQ skills with sessions like “How to BBQ Tailgate,” featuring ribs and chorizo tacos; “Between the Buns,” with epic burgers and sandwiches; and “Steak House at Home,” where he shared steakhouse techniques and classic sides.
