Crafting Workshops
The CNE offered free hands-on crafting workshops with plenty of opportunity to get creative.
Each session featured a fun, family-friendly crafts, from junk journaling to planter making and more.
Fridays with Angas Farm

Pet Friendly Planters: Crafters created a lush, pet-friendly indoor planter in our beginner-friendly Plants & Paws Workshop! Our expert instructors used beginner friendly houseplants, all safe for pets, where participants got to plant their own living centrepiece to take home.
Saturdays with Studio Mooi

Pony Bead Craft (3:30 pm): Participants could choose between two adorable and on-trend designs: the TikTok-famous beaded fish or a sweet CNE-inspired ice cream cone. Using vibrant pony beads and simple patterns, this craft was perfect for all ages! The designs could easily be attached to a bag, keychain, or given as a cute handmade gift.
Junk Journal Workshop: Vintage CNE Edition (5:30 pm & 7:30 pm): Guests joined us for a creative, memory-filled afternoon as we crafted our very own junk journals inspired by the charm and nostalgia of the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). Each participant received a blank journal and access to a curated collection of vintage CNE images, washi tape and other embellishments.
Sundays with Let’s Make It

Fairy Dust (3:30 pm): This activity provided the opportunity to work with eco-friendly materials that produce an excellent product for baths or a soothing foot soak! Attendees got to create a signature fragrance from an array of essential oils and customize their fairy dust with a variety of optional ingredients like environmentally friendly glitter, colorants and botanicals.
Whipped Soap (5:30 pm and 7:30 pm): Participants learned about new ways of making soap while in this interactive workshop. To begin, a signature fragrance was created by selecting from an array of essential oils and fragrances. Then exfoliants, clays and botanicals were added to the soap.
Weekdays with Yogita

Mondays With Yogita:
Coffee Filter Flowers (3:30 pm): Beautiful ombre effects can be achieved by dip dyeing coffee filters in varied colors. These were then shaped by participants and crafted into flowers using varied techniques.
Decoupage (5:30 pm and 7:30 pm): Decoupage is an art form that involves decorating an object by guiling colored paper cutouts, sometimes accompanied by elements of paint, embellishments, layering techniques. Participants got to decorate a tin planter using this technique. (Plant was not included)
Tuesdays With Yogita:
Coffee Filter Flowers (3:30 pm)
Dot Mandala Fridge Magnets (5:30 pm and 7:30 pm): Mandala refers to a circular symmetrical design where all design radiates from the focal point. Dotting involves patience, time, and attention to detail and so this art is a magically meditative and relaxing in nature. Participants had the opportunity to create beautiful fridge magnets on wood with this technique using simple everyday tools.
Wednesdays With Yogita:
Coffee Filter Flowers (3:30 pm)
Paper quilling (5:30 pm and 7:30 pm): An art form that involves using strips of paper that are rolled, looped, curled, twisted and shaped to create designs on their own or to decorate other objects, such as greetings cards, pictures, boxes, or to make jewelry.
Thursdays With Yogita:
Coffee Filter Flowers (3:30 pm)
Stamp Making (5:30 pm and 7:30 pm): Participants created simple easy to make stamps using foam cut outs, using basic carving tools and ready to print bookmarks using acrylic colors. These stamps are reusable and can be used to make stationary, collages and even to print fabric.
