Garden Show

The CNE Garden Show is home to one of the largest flower and vegetable growing competitions in Canada. When not admiring the foliage, garden show guests can enjoy the ambiance of the Wine Garden and its offerings of wine, food and live musical entertainment.

Garden Show Competition Details

The CNE Garden Show Competition (also known as the CNE Horticultural Competition) celebrates the CNE’s agricultural roots. The competition is open to the general public, and you do not need to be a member of a horticultural society or garden club to participate. Entrants must be Canadian residents.

For further information – including the rules, sections, and prizes – please refer to the Horticulture Show Schedule and Prize book. If you have any questions, one of our Garden Show Committee members would be happy to guide you. Feel free to email the Agriculture team: [email protected].

2026 Garden Show Applications are now open!

Introduced in 2022 and continuing this year, the CNE presented the Dave Money Memorial Award in various Horticulture Competition sections, in honour of the late Dave Money, the CNE’s Chairperson of the Horticulture Competition for many years.

New this year, is the addition of the “Creative Art Dried Design Section.” For details about this new section refer to the Horticulture Book (Pg.78). Space is limited in this section and first come first served. You must email [email protected] to see availability and reserve your 12”×12” space. Only when you get CNE approval via email can you then formally apply using the Garden Show Application. The Large Design Section will continue this year and also requires advance reservation.
